@drakesmoke I'll have a look at that, ta. elstoof might be so although it's not his signature model (that was much nicer, iirc). There's one on Reverb in Germany that has had the frets scalloped (!) for about £275 + shipping and another in the States that is £340 + shipping.
Oh and a body (no neck or electrics) for sale in the States on eBay for $200.
I was thinking it's worth £150 max. Of course, as with all these things, it's down to someone actually wanting it. It's a really nice shredder's instrument, ultra thin fast neck, Floyd Rose locking trem, HSS pickup layout. Just too metal for me. In other news, I've ordered an RC5 loop station and the Framus has gone in for its setup and peg replacement. Woo hoo.

I had an RC1, it was top, so I imagine that will be top-er. It's actually quite tricky to loop I found. Starting it on your second bar or second repetition is key I found.

I'm sure it'll be a whole new skill to learn but I need to do something to take a step forward with playing and there's no one around here to jam with, so it seems like a sensible next step. I did look at the 1, but this one has a 99 loop memory and USB, which I suspect I'll be needing. I've played more in the last year than any other 12 month period since I was at school, so I need to do something to improve. Helps a lot to use a metronome That sounds like a very good idea!

I’ve had a nice bass and a lawsuit SG to sell for a while now but the hassle has put me off. Buy on ebay, but stopped selling due to twats. Tried Vinted- even more twats. Not on Facebook, yay! Friend bought two 355’s from an auction recently- you drop down what you’re selling a month before, they photograph it, there’s an open day where people can look/play and then they take ten percent of the final price as the fee. Tempted.

He's such an effortlessly beautiful player isn't he. Hard reconciling that with the filthy smut that comes out of his innuendo laced mouth sometimes 😂 Absolute geezer.

He’s up there alright, seriously good chops. Jack from Peach is another, he’s just left which is a big loss for their social media presence but he’s too good to just be a demo guy for ever

Picked up the GA5 kit from my friend in New York, free shipping in the US but £100 to the U.K. so bollocks to that. I did have to lug the stuff all around on 6 flights, transformers in a backpack were a bit heavy but I only got questioned once by TSA about the bomb looking lumps of metal with wires hanging out of it once. Wishes I wasn’t so cheap on shipping fees but hey ho, it’s all wired up now. Got an 8” Jensen waiting for it once I’ve got the cabinet built. Fun little afternoon wire up

Ibanez TOD10N, not sure if I’ll play it a whole lot but never know. Learning some classical would be good for me though

I’m a big Polyphia fan so I preordered it soon after they were announced, too interesting to pass up - although there’s a few of these nylon electrics doing the rounds now like the Cordoba Stage etc. Apart from the signature side of it, a classical guitar that’s a bit more electric player friendly with narrower nut and slim body etc was something I wanted to try

NGD came early, luckily while my old lady is out as I forgot to tell her about this one. First impression are good! Beautifully put together, can’t find any fault with it. Sounds more like a classical guitar unplugged than all the reviews do online, haven’t plugged it in yet to see if the Tim Henson quack is coded into the preamp

That looks great, wise to socket the IC’s, they’re a nightmare to remove if they blow. The on-board 3PDT and pot stuff is so nice these days and new to me for pedals, takes a bit of guesswork out. I’ve a DOD optical compressor and a Harmonic Percolator I’m just lacing up now and a Boss OD2 and a Dementor Fat Control planned next, it never stops.

I have a squire 6 string bass thing that I bought second hand ages ago and haven’t used since moving house.
Plugged it in the amp this morning and the amp just hums badly so something shot in the electrics I guess. Any ideas anyone? I incorrectly assumed a dodgy cable at first but another guitar is just fine.

rules out an earthing failure. How handy are you with electronics and things, can you open it up and see what’s in there? Was it buzz free when you got it? Did the previous owner modify anything? Hopefully just something simple like they’ve wired the jack on the wrong way round

Or a signal wire could have pinged off if anything was loose and moving about, input jack etc. If you can take crisp photos it may be obvious to spot.
