Thanks for the suggestion! I'm in Ireland though. We do have Lego stores but none near me unfortunately.

Big ticket stuff is tempting as you said but even then can't afford 300 odd quid.
DM me any requests and if I can do it I will.

That's very kind of you dude. If I wasn't in Ireland with prohibitive shipping costs I'd take you up on that!

Cant see it being an issue. I'll speak to him and see what exactly the deal is. If he's restricted on how many times he can use it, it might be a problem. Otherwise it's fair game as far as I'm concerned.

For anyone interested the Lego House is finally available again if you always wanted it but prefer to avoid scalpers… www.lego.com/en-gb/product/lego-house-21037Potentially a set that will go out of stock fast this coming Black Friday Lego Insiders weekend but also a useful topper if you are trying to get to an amount to get a GWP 👍

Gutted that I've finished all but one of my sets that I've bought over the past few years. I've got the infinity gauntlet and groot but ran out of space in the display. I was saving them all for when we finally move into new home but feels like that's not going to happen for a long time so thought sod it.

I just finished building the Bugatti Bolide set I’ve had for a while and realised I’ve actually run out of space to put any more Lego on display. My wife suggested I actually take some of the older ones apart and enjoy building them again, which is a very fair and wise comment.
So obviously I’ve just bought the R2D2 set which is down to £176 on Amazon…
I’m my own worst enemy.

Amazon UK has Rivendell with a 10% discount as a Black Friday deal which is still not enough IMO but better than nothing if anyone was waiting for a deal on it! (also chance of it getting battered about by Amazon shipping seemed high as they are over worked, under staffed and poorly paid while their colleagues are striking?)
I was waiting to pre-order Lego Dune Atreides Royal Ornithopter to take advantage of BF GWPs on the UK Lego Shop online so went for that and (against my better judgement probably based on multiple disappointed reviews i've read) added the 40% discounted Lego Table Football (figured if I dont like it should be able to re-bag and sell it used like new for most of that back or pass it on to friends with kids at some point) to get both GWP's and then used some Insider points to get the Grey Castle as gut tells me that might be quite collectible as it is based on a classic build so will probably hold on to that one as a collectible and not build it for the forseeables.
I also fancy the Lego insider Casette Player as that looks groovy but ran out of Insider points at the moment so will have to wait and hope that does not go out of stock quickly.
Also worth mentioning under rewards you can also use Insider points to get 75% off a £5 voucher to use against a purchase.. every little helps!

Bought the Natural History Museum last night for a Christmas present. Kind of wish I would be building it.. the free gift with purchase is really quite cool too.

just a minor FYI - if you were due to get new tyres (and if I can't convince UK people on winter tyres then at least get some bloody all seasons) then ATS have a free lego with michelin tyres promo whereby "When purchasing 2 or 3 tyres, this is a LEGO® Ferrari 812 Competizione, when purchasing four tyres, this is a LEGO® Buggati Bolide."
(and after you've bought four new tyres it's not like the kids are going to get any christmas presents, so huddle round the warmth of burning final demand letters and have them build your freebie lego on christmas morning)

Eh? They look OK to me. Spidey's mask should have huge eyes.

I've been eyeballing that typewriter for a very long time. Should really pull the trigger one day.

It's a bit special, lots of clever technics on the inside, looks beautiful. Price a bit eye-watering but I'm really pleased I got it.

Lego Fortnite has just launched, and they've already converted 1000s of their player skins into lego player skins. Some of them look awesome. www.lego.com/en-gb/themes/fortnite/aboutI can't see any way that there aren't a bunch of real-world Lego Fortnite sets incoming... or minifigs at the least.

Lego Fortnite looks more like Minecraft than Fortnite tbh. But the characters are so cute!

Currently building the home alone house for the festive period. So many nice little touches. Will make a fine Christmas decoration.
Mulling over getting the light kit for it.

I have two Lego kits to build over the Festive period, the Ghostbusters car and Dom's Dodge Charger. Oh and finish off the Saturn Rocket. Not really Xmas related though.

We really enjoyed building the Home Alone set and it sits proudly with our Christmas Decorations. We added Santa's Sleigh on the roof.
