That's good, PlayStation players will also be able to experience the mediocrity of this game. Sharing is caring.

Microsoft's acquisition looking a little overpriced of late.

Fairly extensive list of fixes in addition to the new features they added.

Did they add anything to make the game fun in the patch?

Microsoft's acquisition looking a little overpriced of late. It's the one thing I can't quite my head around. These games companies that MS have hoovered up in the last 2 or 3 years are all cross platform games. Having a smaller share of console owners to sell the games to (outside of PC gamers), plus "giving" them away on gamepass, it is hard to see how they would make their money back. I suppose MS don't really need to make the money back due to deep pockets they have but it is all a bit odd.

I doubt they're quite the powerhouse they once were, but yeah, it all seems a little desperate to win a war no one needs to fight.

Playtime of 5 days, 18 hours and 8 minutes I get a freeze on jumping and now all my saves are corrupt and can't be loaded. Well a least I borrowed it and didn't pay for it so it's only time wasted. Was a shit game anyway.

Sounds like a lot but most of that was just scanning planets while listening to podcasts as I can't really sit and listen without doing something. Used to put a marker on the furthest part of the map on FO/ES and just walk and always came across something on the way but the planets being procedurally generated here takes that away, not to mention I get massive Dragon Age 2 vibes from most buildings being copy and pasted.

The copy/paste really got on my tits. If you want to reuse buildings fine, I can get behind that - prefabricated to a design/mass production/whatever - but mix the contents up a bit. Every facility has the same enemies, with the same bodies/keys/chests/whatever in exactly the same spots. Spent some time finding that weapons locker key by the dead scientist? Congratulations you now know where that key is in all the facilities. Checked the computer for lore and whatnot? Well done, you've read them all.

The underground lab in the ice is probably my most repeated. I made the mistake of doing the UC/Crimson Fleet questline early enough thinking I'd get a few space battles to spice it up a bit and then exploring became pointless as every facility I decided to explore had friendly fleet NPCs so I was just walking through with gun holstered, looting and leaving. Why they didn't think to change it to random pirates, Ecliptic or even UC troops depending on who you are aligned with I have no idea.
They really needed more intelligent life than just humans too, even one mutated race that settled too close to a gas planet or something.
And final complaint, it'd be great if Bethesda could finally get around to sorting out their companion A.I because that's like the fourth game in a row I have one right up my arse almost every time I turn around, and when they aren't there they are walking into my line of sight when firing.
I reckon corrupt saves has done me a favour actually 😅

That scanner fix would've been handy when I was playing as that's something I genuinely couldn't understand as there seemed to be no logic to when you could or couldn't do something with it open. The digipick one is good too considering the amount of stuff that could be unlocked.
Quite a lengthy list though, didn't even get halfway through it.

Does this mean there’s no registration fee to sell a stolen ship? Huge if true
Unbelievable that this wasn’t there from the start, might be the most helpful improvement on the list.

I don't remember ever struggling with digipicks and had loads of them in stash and on my ship. It's not like I was picking loads of them up and hoarding either. I gave up exploring the world early when I realised just how bland everything was and pushed through the main story to complete it.

Aw, they fixed the spacesuit cabinet bug 😞 surely we all used that sexy suit we nicked from Constellation right at the start of the game?

I didn't have a problem with digipicks either but I could see how quickly they'd disappear if people were not great at the puzzles with how much things they could be used on, often several things together.
I ended up just youtubing the endings as I think I was close to it when it self destructed. No idea if it's a spoiler really but I met two people on a planet and made a choice. Anyone who played it should know what I mean.

The lockpicking was broken. Not mechanically but how it was used/upgraded. It took way too long, evene when fully upgraded, to open some lockers only to find random junk inside...
The upgrade path should have just allowed you to unlock the easier ones without the mini game... Or for every rank you remove x amount of circles from the puzzle. If you remove all of them the thing is just unlocked.

They need to have tiered loot tied to the lock level. I don't expect god level stuff in every container but if I've just picked a master lock I want a bit more than a refund of the digipick I just used to open it.

I fired this up yesterday to see where I was and I'm on the mission Revelation. Turns out it's a space battle and I haven't played in aaaaages. I'm now stuck in an insta-death loop against the star nutters
I quit back out
