 Casual 361 million point hand Double legendary jokers is absolute filth. How'd you manage to get those?! I actually had a third one that I sold that didn't fit. Magic deck makes legendaries a bit more likely because the soul card can show up in Tarot packs too and generally if you're playing magic deck you're probably picking a lot of tarot packs. |

Picked up the last Joker unlock I was missing today, for getting $400. Trick was to use the anaglyph deck and play conservatively money wise (but not enough to not die) then take a double your money up to $40 blind skip on ante 7. That took me to about 370 and then it was easy to hit 400 after that.

Apparently the new update makes it easier, due next week. Thought I'd give it a go on experimental branch on Steam. Lost about 8 times in a row on fucking Red stake without even getting to Ante 3.
Want to punch my TV. Grrrr.
The Tags are now much more tempting, especially when the stake causes the Small Blind to reward with no money. But jeez, amazing how much a seemingly subtle change has thrown me out of kilter.

Thought I'd finish my commute game from yesterday quickly before work. Picked up a wheel of fortune for the lols and got holographic on one joker. Tried again a couple of rounds later and got polychrome. Got to ante 7 and started spending some of my hoarded cash and picked up another one. Foil! Three of them in a row actually worked without the odds improvement joker! I should probably buy a lotto ticket with this kind of luck. I instinctively said "nope" as I bought it each time  |

I had an absolutely amazing combo of Jokers two nights ago, which I grafted to get through some early awkward Antes. Anaglyph deck gives a Double Tag after defeating each boss, which I always save for the Negative Tag which gives a free Negative Joker. This meant I had 10 Jokers. One of the Jokers was Vampire, which I've always thought was shit, but decided to give it a whirl – for every played Enhanced card, it gains X0.1, but the card gets de-enhanced. I then got another Joker which turned any Face card into a Gold-enhanced card. So... Play 5 Face cards, Vampire instantly gains 0.5X. Absolutely amazing combo. I was pushing 500k in a single hand when the Blinds were about 10k.
Absolutely breezing through, then opened a Spectral pack and...
Accidentally clicked on the wrong card DESTROYING ALL OF MY JOKERS EXCEPT ONE AT RANDOM.

I feel like there should be an undo button. Even if it's one you only get to use a few times, or you have to buy it / it's a joker.

So, I some how didn't really take in the whole thing where some jokers give x increase instead of + increase to the multiplier. It's no wonder why I've been struggling to get anything beyond ante 5!
Now that I've actually noticed this and realised how ridiculously powerful a x increase on the multiplier is, I managed to get a joker combo that included an Obelisk, Hologram and Cavendish. Absolutely destroyed the ante 8 boss, almost in a single hand (probably could have done it with the right play). So, finally I've actually won a game of this!

Cavendish wins any run, basically. The first time I won orange I was just barely surviving, praying for that thing to show up. And finally it did!

Cavendish is harder to get with the balancing patch. Gros Michel is 1 in 6 chance of expiring with the update.

I finally broke the 1billion barrier tonight. Had a ridiculous set of 12 Jokers, including one that gains x0.25 Mult whenever you add another card to deck. Got it to about X12 Mult, and I had blueprint to duplicate it. Highest hand was 820 million. Unfortunately fell by a few million at a 1.2billion small blind. Could only draw a single Two Pair, which was my most played hand. Gah.

I'm really looking forward to this - Slay the Spire is an all-timer for me, and I played more Gwent during my Witcher 3 adventures than I'd care to admit.
Card games are totally my jam, and Balatro looks like a fantastic one. (Plus hardly any games of this ilk come to console *and* in physical form, with most of them being PC- or digital-only.)

Just got my best single hand score of 706335 one black difficulty run. The deck that is only hearts and spades is amazing for flush hands.
Edit: scrap that 1.4 million on the next hand, thought I was done but just on last 3 now.

My best hand is now 15,221,808. The floodgates have opened! Put in the time, unlock a few jokers and decks and it hits another level. Great game.

I saw that GitHub method ages ago but I've been too afraid to try it.
Not from a dodgy perspective (it's got the dev's blessing). Balatro at my fingertips 24/7 just sounds dangerous.

Honestly this is so much better on mobile. I can just dip in and out of a run now.
Weirdly it might be a bit of a battery drain, but that's probably the unoptimised app I'm using.
