You'd think that a sword called Demonbrandt would approve of you being a naughty bastard

Not sure if this is correct but I assumed it means something like "demon burner" so the white tendency checks out in that case. Boringly enough!

Thank you both!
I've been dicking about in the early levels of world 1. I forgot I'd killed the red dragon as I passed the area in which both the red and blue dragon would be sat and I managed to get the items on the hill - a nice ring and purple shield. I also picked up the sword from the dragon god area that I never had the required strength at the time. I've learnt a couple if miracles, one in which I can go invisible from black phantom's and another which enables me to teleport back to the Nexus. I've have no idea how I use these!😁 I'm a sword and shield type of guy!

Evacuate is a really useful miracle - earlier in this thread I was unsure about splashing out on it: stupid me. You'll need to equip a talisman to cast any miracle (the equivalent of catalysts for spells).

Absolutely use evacuate all the time. Sounds like you've done a fair bit. Like Danno says, it's only really world tendency stuff now. I mean, for instance, you could just kill everyone in the nexus if you want. Once you hit ng+, everything resets - you'll lose all your keys, all shortcuts will be locked again, npc's reset etc etc. You still keep your stats and souls etc but it's like playing the game from the start again. Except you know what you're doing now, and you're harder. You will find in ng+ that you will start amassing loads more souls. However, the monsters are harder too. You might just want to do NG and not bother with ng+, but if you do want to do ng+, I would *highly recommend* getting the second chance miracle. It's basically like having 2 health bars. If someone like a red eyed knight hits you in ng+ it will take a LOT of health off you, and second chance is a life saver in those situations. It all depends on what you want to do really. For instance, remember in 1-1, the first level - as you start, there's a little passageway to the left that normally has a locked gate, preventing you access. You need white tendency for it to open. Have you done that, for example? There's similar stuff elsewhere. however, if you just want to smash stuff in the face then that's fine too

The little area in world 1-1 I've done 👍 I'm just going to have a little mop up of the areas I've been through for the min before moving on. I sort of fucked up murdering the trader in world 2-1 as I want hardstone and they seem a ballache to find the bog standard variant!

Well I finally managed to get to the end, not sure if I did things in the correct order or not or if I've missed anything but after I beat Old King Allant, I got his soul when I touched the archstone then I teleported back to the Nexus and missed out on the dialogue like an idiot, then realised I didn't have the Soulbrandt so thought I'd missed the chance to make the Northern Regalia! Continued on below the Nexus and got the weapon before then teleporting back to the Nexus and then to see Ed, then went on a killing spree murdering Ed and everyone else on the Nexus except Stockpile before continuing on until the end.
Umbasa!
Credits are rolling.....
Massive thanks for all your help! 😁

Loaded up the Dark Souls remaster as it's the only one I've not completed as I found it to difficult, it's so jarring to look at in comparison that it's put me off attempting it.
I'm going to hold out for a possible Bluepoint remake. 🤞

I thought the remaster was pretty good. But you are coming from ps5 demons, I guess

It's very beautiful, very, very pretty. I'm trying to get used to the parry system so far and also I need to get used to at what point invincibility starts on the roll.

Parry system is more generous than dark souls, especially with the parry shield. But you should be OK generally. I'm not sure if it counts, but being super fast rolling in this (below 25% threshold) makes it quicker/generally live more, when rolling about

I thought the remaster was pretty good. But you are coming from ps5 demons, I guess I sunk around 20hrs into when it first came out, had no problem visually with it then, like you say coming from the PS5 remake, I might give it a few days and try again. I'm tempted to go on in this tbh I enjoy how beautiful it all is, I might try and mop up some trophies.

So I haven't been finding this too bad, surprisingly the bosses are quite manageable compared to all the shit on your way to a boss, so tonight I did Phalanx, Tower Knight and that iron spider cunt who I took down on the first attempt. Question why are dogs so op in all these Souls games?

Yeah the bosses are all quite straight forward, but the levels before a lot of them make up for it.
Ah yes, it's always the bloody dogs.

Had an hour on it earlier in NG, beat the Phalanx and Armoured Spider, unlocked Ed, killed the NPC for the Mausoleum key, invaded someone for the trophy 😁 rocking the Purple flame shield +8 and the Northern Regalia.
Is the platinum doable? I don't normally chase trophies but I'm loving the game and may plod on if so or until Returnal comes back on sale.

Yeah the Plat is quite forgiving from the look of things, especially compared to what it used to involve

I did it - it's much more forgiving than the original, but you still need to do some planning and mapping out across your second and third playthroughs. And it's not realistic to get them all without checking a guide, so if you've been holding off out of pride I'd get past that now. This is a decent one - trophy guideIn particular, you'll need to work on world and character tendency so it depends how much patience you have for this kind of thing.

Cheers for that. I'll take a look at that guide but probably the world tendency will put me off in the long run.

Yeah. Although I persisted, ensuring I had black / white character and world to hoover up a couple of trophies was quite tedious in the end. I went for the platinum because I didn't want to stop playing, I was enjoying the game so much; by the end though some of that good will had evaporated.
But check the guide out; some of the trophies, especially the ones for doing certain things during boss fights, are good fun.

I think...I love this game the only stumbling block I've had so far was Flamelurker after that I've rinsed through things rather quickly.

I now have a PS5 copy of Demon’s Souls! Don’t actually have a PS5 though
That’s how much I love this game

Just to confirm though, magic is broken in this game, no? Because it seems comical at times how much damage you can output.
