Just to confirm though, magic is broken in this game, no? Because it seems comical at times how much damage you can output. Yup. Wait til you get hold of Firestorm and stack all the +damage gear |

After a couple of failed attempts on Flamelurker, I decided to take the plunge and summon, which I haven't done in the original Demon's Souls [or the original Dark Souls for that matter, if you exclude NPC's] as I was a bit late for that party. I was a bit nervous standing in human form in front of the boss foggate with no summon signs around... The first summon I did find failed to show up but the second did and we took good care of the big bad demon; felt quite good about myself  |

Had a bit of time this afternoon so had a good run. Finished 1-1 and then did 1-2, 2-1 and 4-1 also Not died yet It’s a far cry from my 30 something attempts to beat the Armoured Spider back on the OG |

The only bosses I've had problems with were Flamelurker and Maneater but some were laughably easy such as the old monk and Penetrator.

Yeah they are the two bosses that usually cause me the most headaches. I played the OG to death though so should be ok

Aye the bosses are a bit tame in this compared to the later games. The last-ish one is quite a wake up call

I'm not entirely sure, most people leave him until last but I don't know if that's because of gating or him being quite difficult compared to any of the others

Do I have to do all bosses before I do King Allant, I think I've got two bosses in total left other than him. You can fight him once you’ve killed an Archdemon (one of the last bosses in Worlds 2,3,4 or 5), you don’t have to wait. He’s a handful though and probably designed to be last but the game won’t end once you finish him… |

Did 3-1 earlier and died for the first time  No surprise that it was to a hole in the floor 3 hole related deaths and then to my shame two further deaths on the Fool’s Idol. Both times got paralysed immediately and one shotted, probably too confident, just hid behind the pillars more on the next attempt and did it pretty easily. Overall it’s definitely not as unnerving and unpleasant as the OG, those squid headed guards aren’t scary at all. It’s all a bit nice so far, a very pretty game Just got 5-1 now of the x-1 levels, been putting it off |

Does anyone know: if you beat all three bosses in a world (like 2-1, 2-2, 2-3 for example) without getting killed on that world in human form (you suicide at the Nexus between visits) is that enough to achieve pure white world tendency in that particular world or do you need something more than that?

I can’t believe how quickly bosses are going down. I’ve not played a new game for a while as when I play it on the PS3 it’s on NG+20 or something
The Flamelurker fight only lasted about a minute, Penetrator even less
Killed the Red Dragon too. Meant that the gate opened on 1-1 which was nice
The DBS was available next to the Dragon God too, not sure why it’s pure white already?

Yeah it’s flipping awesome I’m hoping that there’s plenty of online play going on. I acted as a summon a couple of times to see how quick I got summoned and it was pretty slow Not been invaded as been in soul form the whole time. As soon as I’ve done the white events I’ll stay in human form, turn everywhere pure black and enjoy some invasions |

Managed to screw up both Biorr and Ostrava quests the other day. I left Biorr deal with the Penetrator while I was trying to tidy up my quick items and he died, while I just stood there watching Ostrava getting slaughtered by the 2 red-eyed knights, thinking it was a glitch and they were just enemies attacking each other, until Ostrava called for help and by that time it was too late... At least, on Biorr's case I did beat the Penetrator and got the gear he dropped, but the red-eyed knights killed me swiftly and I missed anything Ostrava dropped |
