Ugh 5-2 can do one, it's easily the main reason I'm hooked on Ghost of Tsushima instead. Those Giant Depraveds hit like trucks and aggro while you're 100m away from land. I'll get back to it shortly. Any volunteers to get sacrificed for the pvp trophy? I don't pvp anymore because it always felt like a dick move. I actually hate 5-1 more for some reason. Some reason meaning surprise enemies and falling to my death /repeatedly/. In 5-2 I Thief Ring-ed it past the Giant one and his minions in order to get through the bottleneck to the next area. Happy to help with the pvp trophy some time, most likely next on on Thursday evening. Flexible_Feline. |

Spoke with Patches in the Nexus, didn't even realise he was there so got a load of heals from him. Saved at that point last night before heading to work.

Do I need a certain item to be able to summon? I've never seen a sign once from other players although I'm able to put one down.

Nice one! That's an *extremely* useful boss soul, as 2-1 blacksmith will testify. He may not acknowledge you have it on you at first, but keep talking to him. This unlocks all the unique weapons you can craft. Some are absolute blinders.
To *be* summoned to someone else's world, get in soul form and use a blue eyed orb on the ground.
To get players to come and help you in your world, get in human form and click on a summon sign (which is someone else in soul form putting down their blue eyed stone)
So it's a good idea to discuss with your co-op partner where you/they are going to put their sign, as anyone can touch it and be sent to that world.
If you place it right out in the open, any tom dick or harry will click it. Hide it somewhere and then let your partner know where.

The Dragon God boss is annoying as I know exactly what do but keep getting caught grrrrrr.
Went to see Blacksmith 2 and gave him the soul from the Flame lurker I can now get the Morion blade(?) for 1500 souls..
I went to the skeleton islands for a change of scenery and made slight progress, beat the Grey Demon but got my arse spanked by the black skeleton, dropped into a room and got ambushed after spotting a shiny item.
Should I keep the grey Demon soul? Haven't bought the Morion blade yet, will do that sometime tomorrow.

Oh forgot to ask are the blood messages broken in this? Seems strange to not have a single response (good or bad) in any message I've left.

Basically, when you have low health, the morion blade increases your weapon damage output. But obviously, it's risky, as you have to have low health all the time. Skilled players use it in conjunction with other similar (and stackable) items such as the clever rats ring, which also does the same damage increase at low health. So it's useful and powerful, but also risky. Just like everything with this game  *HOWEVER* - be careful if you go ahead and make it, because the soul that you need to consume to make the sword also has other uses - The Storm Demon Soul can be used to ascend a Short Sword+8 into the Morion Blade with Blacksmith Ed. It can also be used to purchase the miracle Anti-Magic Field from Saint Urbain. It can also be consumed for 48,000 souls. So out of the above, which is going to work for you, hm? Yes, you need to be extra careful around the black skeletons. There's some good loot in world 4. And a lot of it in 4-1. As for the grey demon soul - this is what it can be used for - The Gray Demon Soul can be used to ascend a Battle Axe+6 into the Dozer Axe with Blacksmith Ed. It can also be consumed for 1,500 souls. This is why I recommend the wiki just for reference when checking out what to irreversibly create. |

If you wanted to, that is I'm 99% sure the dragon soul is very useful. Definitely check that one out before using it Not sure about the messages. Should have at least some responses? Dunno |

Cheers, I'm just on it now. I'm just looking at the upgrade path for the weapons and the depth of the game is ridiculous.
I've got my trusty long sword to +9 and the Uchigatana +3
Going back to the first world to continue my work 🤞

Yes, it's quite deep, and doesn't tell you much in game. Over the years, everyone has cobbled together vital information and bunged it on the wiki. It's bloody obscure - I mean, the way it's designed means you have to be very cautious - for instance, say you have a boss soul that just says, "Can be used to create other items" or whatever the description says, so it's really ambiguous. You'd have to go to every merchant to double check what it is you need to create X, Y and Z and see whether two different things require the same unique item. And what if you came across another merchant later on, that then offers something even more unique but still needs that soul? I mean, I'm pushing it here, but it's the same kind of principle. I'm not even going to start on world tendency Cool, sounds like you're making decent strides though. Look around 1-3 carefully too. Don't always go left... |

Slowly chipping away, completed the Inner Ward finally beating the Penetrator Boss with a lot of help from a rescued NPC and also rescued a witch. At the King's Tower now, beat the 3 Black Phantoms collected the Tower Shield and a white Bow.
Onwards!

Ha.. my lack of patience gets the better of me everytime and some of the stupid deaths due to be windmilling in on enemies instead of picking them off one at a time..
Not sure if I should go in another direction? I've completed the mines I believe, got as far as the grey demon on the skelly isles and haven't been anywhere else!!

Just completed Prison of Hope after beating Fool's Idol, I knew I should of killed that dude above the first time I met him!
Rescued the sage but I seem to be missing a key for the Knight that's in spirit form as I still can't open his cell even though I think I've pretty much rinsed the prison!!
