It still runs like shit on my pc, even with it just on my TV at 1080p it has stutters for hitting things and never looks smooth.

Comically fucked this week’s rally by getting a puncture a couple of K’s into the 30k stage, trying to drive for a bit before realising it was never going to work and then knobbing about trying to work out how you change a tyre.
Was fun though, man I love that Lancia.
Read on Resetera that the latest patch (to fix the stuttering) made the stuttering much worse, which is quite the achievement. Not had a chance to try it yet 🤷♂️

Very much feel the tearing and stuttering is just in the game though so long as EA continue with that engine. They might mitigate it, but it’s a flaw they’ll not fully polish away. Gonna be significantly hesitant to buy the next one.

Can I just point out that if I hadn't jumped the start by a millisecond on the 3rd track and got a 10 second penalty I would have been winning by 200s of a second. Also don't download the patch if you can, it completely fucks performance and also makes the game crash if you try to load your existing career. Ok bye.

Fucking game is significantly less stable now, you know- post the stability patch. Crashes every single time I quit a club thing now. And the screen tearing at points is ludicrous.

Fucked up and changed tires after shakedown so only had two sets there. Love those cars though.
The screen tearing after the last patch is a fucking joke though. Can honestly say with a wheel I can't think of a more fun gaming experience I've had but fuck me they're doing their best to ruin it.

Couldn’t get anywhere near your times, stages 4 and 5 I thought I’d smoked them…nope, well played.
Gotta say this feels like a golden age for racing games on Series X. The moment to moment racing on this and Forza Motorsport is superb. I know there’s issues, but the actual racing in both is a joy.
I appreciate it’s a different story on PC, and/or you may just plain disagree, but I love both games

The car helped I think. I drive it quite a bit and you can absolutely attack the corners in it. I fucking love it.
Speaking of other racing games, the new crew game is surprisingly good. Handling and feedback on the wheel isn't a million miles away from stuff like GT7.
