This has crept up out of nowhere for me, but essentially EA/Codemasters are releasing a new rally game on 3rd Nov. Always liked the Dirt Rally games and this ones looking pretty tidy. Season/weather changes for every track, career mode, love it.

It's suspiciously 'cheap'. Are we talking tonnes of DLC and microtransactions for cars/stages etc?

This vid is 15 mins long and is edited down for time as this one stage is 34.8km. These kinds of tracks are gonna have to require the most absolute concentration

I’m interested, depending on how older and lower series cars feature- the new hybrid stuff just leaves me cold.
That is one hell of a setup he has in that third video, can’t work out what the strip things are doing- masking or disguising the monitor join?

When DR2 clicked, in a well set up car, and I’d zone out focussing on nothing but the next turn, I loved that.
If the game still has that, whatever ‘that’ was, over a 25 minute stage…I’m in

Decks set it up and I ran the last few championships.
I'll probably cave in and get the EA app key from cdkeys for £30. Game pass ultimate people get 10 hour trials to try it out first if needed.

Some early reviews put a snot seems mostly positive- great handling, if tarmac still a little off (though I never had a big issue with it in DR2, the German stages were some of my favourites), loads of content, slightly flat graphics and most notable of all some performance issues. Full on pauses toward the end of stages, wut

Got the GP 5 hr trial thing installed - I’m absolutely going to buy it, just wanted to wait for the reviews on the small chance it’s a shitshow on launch. Happily that’s not the case.
Sadly the people that pay my wages kind of insist I give them some kind of return, so actually playing it will have to wait until later today

Just working through the lessons for a quick razz. Feels good thus far. Man, I’ve missed the PS5 haptics when playing Forza.
It is pretty “flat” looking though, competent, but hardly a stunner.

A little disappointed by the performance on my pc, seems it would be OK without the stutter, strange that it happened more on medium settings than high.
The cdkeys preorder didn't give me early access but I do have the 5hr trial with gp.

Had a brief go. Feels like more of the same from DR2, and that’s fine by me.
Graphics are a little underwhelming so far, might just be the stage I did, but almost a step down from DR2. Replays especially.
And zero trigger vibrations on my elite controller, but there’s an option for it in the settings so some kind of glitch I’m guessing
