Think this could be "The Patch". Just had a quick go on a few tracks that are normally a problem and the the performance was perfect. And in general the image quality just feels more stable.
Also I'm not sure if they've upped the draw distance or something? Had a quick go on Monte Carlo and there seemed to be way more trees than before. Looked really nice actually.

Did four stages of an Australian rally and, yeah, felt smooth. Couldn’t see a tear or a stutter.
The menu animations etc loading *in* to the stage definitely were stuttering though- so I guess they’re finally loading the shaders prior to stages rather than on the fly, thank fuck for that.

I swear the foliage density and level of detail in the distance have both had a pretty big bump as well. But I'm questioning whether I'm imaging it as it's not mentioned in the patch notes.

Yeah definitely my favourite section in the game. Always the first place I test with a patch as well as it normally struggles there.

Surprised there was no mention of the haptics in the patch. I have a go with the pad every now and again and they've been completely redone. Feel pretty great now, can really feel the connection with the road.

Giving the pc version another shot after a couple of patches, set up a 2 week 12 stage rally in Grp A cars in Oceania., every stage has a medium repair time.

Latest patch seems to have sorted any of the remaining performance issues, on PS5 at least. The cars sound even better as well.

Well they have finally done it. This is how the game should have played months ago.
I've been away from it for a bit but even I think it looks slightly better than it did. That said I have tweaked my TV settings since then but it certainly plays better.
Career mode might still be bugged though. Benefactor progression doesn't look to be working so pointless doing the H2 FWD driver championship.

I realise no one is playing this now but the latest patch has given the performance and graphics a big boost. Looks really good now and runs flawlessly. Even the replays run smoothly now.
Shame it didn't release like this but it bodes well for the next one.

I've been in two minds over getting it, but I suspect it'll be on PS/Game Pass soon, as it's dropped way down in price.

I bought it in the Steam sale and am enjoying it - I’m back to where I was after the EA 5 hour trial. Performance was great but recently I’ve got loads of screen tear. Need to try after the latest patch. They’ve announced VR support is coming at the end of April… tempted to pick up a Quest 3 to replace my OG Quest.

This received another patch recently. I started career mode again and the benefactors target that was previously broken is now working.
